From the must-have colours of the season to top design ideas, these are the bloggers in the know when it comes to interiors
Why we love it: Abigail Ahern (picture above) has to be the queen of colour. Her enthusiasm for hues and her unique interiors style shines through her writing. But we’re not talking about rainbow brights here; Abigail has turned to the dark side as she describes it. Bold and moody blues, blacks, greens and purples decorate her website. Our favourite posts are her room inspiration pieces, where she travels from Paris to South Africa picking out beautiful homes and telling her readers how to get the look.
Her Rachel Bates style: We think Abigail would be as big a fan of our Little Greene Rococo Green paint as we are.
Why we love it: If Abigail is the queen of colour then Will Taylor is most definitely the king. What started out as a blog has turned into several books, a Pinterest account with over 2.5 million followers and even a turn on Good Morning America - he now lives in NYC. Will’s blog is filled with fantastically bright rooms, pieces of furniture and decorating tips that will certainly - as his book promises - put a smile on your face.
His Rachel Bates style: For Will we’d bet that the orange Natura Sabre cutlery might just look fabulous on his dining table.
Why we love it: Mary, interior designer, excellent vintage scavenger and the name behind Hello Peagreen is a fountain of interior and design knowledge. She’ll bring you the best collaborations, news from trade shows and inspiration based on her mood. Get an insight into her glamorous life of interiors and travel through her Instagram feed.
Her Rachel Bates style: Our set of turquoise peacock tea cups might not be vintage but we'd be willing to bet they'll still be around in the years to come.
Why we like it: As editor of one of the world's biggest interiors and design platforms, you’d think that Vicky Harrison wouldn’t have time for her own successful blog too, well you'd be wrong! When she’s not curating Houzz Vicky is busy pulling together nifty interiors tips and tricks - like how to use velvet in your home - or travel reviews for UK mini breaks. She manages to do it all - which is why she’s our kind of woman!
Her Rachel Bates style: Such a power woman deserves a cool drink at the end of the day and there’s no prettier vessel than our Isadora and Cristobelle Spring Champagne Coups.
Why we like it: Gabby Palumbo brings that chic, well-groomed American style to the UK with her blog Flat 15. Originally from Philadelphia, she started Flat 15 when she moved to London - into her flat... No.15. Her experimentation with design inspired her to start the blog, which showcases new trends, enviable real homes and enough interiors eye candy to keep you scrolling for hours.
Her Rachel Bates style: We have a feeling that Gabby would appreciate the incredible quality of our Peacock Cashmere Throw.
Why we like it: How could we not like a blog called Happy Interiors? It would be like hating a puppy (which you know we don’t - check out our own Arabella on Instagram) or the sunshine. Igor started Happy Interiors, an international blog, to celebrate all that is cheery about home decorating and we’re thrilled he did. He’ll inspire you with designer collaborations, new releases from top interior brands around the world and he has a healthy obsession with plants - we think we’d get along swimmingly.
His Rachel Bates style: For a man into foliage there could only be one thing - Roger Colson’s beautifully peaceful oil painting entitled Quiet
Why we like it: Lucy Loves Ya lovely blog (try saying that quickly) is a stream of candy-coloured decorations, recipes laden with sugar and flowers and interviews with artisans - it’s a positive colour explosion! Lucy shares her favourite finds, top trends and shares them with her readers with a smile. For more of the same follow her Twitter feed.
Her Rachel Bates style: For a fan of pretty things we chose our large flower serving bowl in stunning amethyst and fuchsia.
