“The fact that she has chosen interior design is a blessing for us all” –
Max Konig, MD Nina Campbell.
Following a charmed childhood growing up in rural Cheshire, adulthood saw Rachel head to London where she joined Good Housekeeping as a features writer. She then took the city by storm in a senior role at Finsbury PR but always felt a creative outlet was missing.
In 2008, Rachel embarked on a project to create what is now her exceptionally stylish home. Starting from scratch she project-managed the build of an impressive Georgian Style house in Mottram St. Andrew and the property is now seen as one of Cheshire’s most beautifully designed homes.
It was during this creative process that Rachel’s design flair took flight. Her passion and skill was clear to all and due to popular demand Rachel Bates interiors was founded in 2012. Success swiftly followed success and Rachel was asked to create her own Decorative Botanicals Collection of home wares to be retailed in Nina Campbell’s flagship Chelsea store.
Now an influential and respected leader of the interiors world, Rachel regularly comperes industry events – most recently the Professional Publishers Association panel discussion with House & Garden, House Beautiful, Livingetc and Homes & Antiques magazine.
